Back to the '80s: This Is Our Youth, Starring Michael Cera, Kieran Culkin & Tavi Gevinson, Opens On Broadway

From the Upper West Side to Times Square. This Is Our Youth celebrates its opening night on the Great White Way on September 11. The Steppenwolf Theatre Company production, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, stars Michael Cera, Kieran Culkin and Tavi Gevinson in their Broadway debuts.

To commemorate the Great White Way premiere of the Kenneth Lonergan play, Broadway.com resident artist Justin “Squigs” Robertson sketched this portrait of the trio of spoiled, drugged-out Manhattanites. Pictured from left to right are Culkin as Dennis, Cera as Warren and Gevinson as Jessica.

About the Artist: With a desire to celebrate the magic of live theater and those who create it, and with a deep reverence for such touchstones as the work of Al Hirschfeld and the wall at Sardi’s, Squigs is happy and grateful to be among those carrying on the traditions where theater and caricature meet. He was born and raised in Oregon, lived in Los Angeles for quite a long time and now calls New York City his home.
